Genre: Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense
Release Date: June 8, 2017
3 weeks. 5 cities. 15 impossible stunts. One reality show.
Trevor Cross came into Reya Cabrera’s world with a bang and faded out with a whimper. They vowed to make it work, but life had other plans. After chasing his TV dreams for years, Trev finally became the UK’s next big reality star, but he alienated his family and friends in the process. Now he finally has everything he ever wanted. Women. Money. Fame. But none of it means anything when he doesn’t have the one thing that matters most: love.
Money leaves a gaping hole. Fame surrounds him with loneliness. And no woman makes him feel like Reya used to before the whirlwind of success pulled them apart.
He has a plan to get her back. However, with a hectic filming schedule looming, the only way to do that is to convince her to come on the road with him. Reya has been stuck in a rut for a while, and the opportunity to travel across Europe and play her music for new audiences seems like heaven. The only catch? She has to do it with the one boy who ever got close enough to break her heart. But he’s not a boy anymore, and as she gets to know him again she can’t deny her respect for the man he’s become.
Every time she’s around him her heart feels full of air, like a balloon about to pop. Little does she know, Trev’s feelings are just as tumultuous as hers. One thing’s for sure, these three weeks on the road together will either make them whole again or break them irrevocably.
**Hearts on Air is a contemporary romance and book #6 in the Hearts series, however it can also be read as a complete standalone.**
ANGIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW
This book moved me, I think even more than Cosway intended. I just couldn't keep it together. I feel like every girl has been Reya at some point in her life - shy, low self-esteem, not good enough for the man you love, stuck in a rut while the world is passing you by. But she also had this quiet strength that I admired, especially after finding out what happened in her past. I loved her.
Trevor, Trevor, Trevor. I can't be mad at him. I hated that he had to leave Reya behind but it really was for the best. His dream was coming true. He had to reach out and grab it. And he had to work on himself. He was so sweet I wanted to reach through the pages and give him a motherly hug. I adore him.
Reya ends up joining Trevor and his parkour team in Europe as a temporary PA. They try to become friends again but their chemistry is hard to deny. I just loved the way they worked themselves back to each other. There's also some interesting things happening with Trevor's teammates and I'm looking forward to more. Brilliant.
SHANDA'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW
I have been looking forward to Trevor and Reya’s story for quite some time. Hearts on Air didn’t disappoint. I loved both Trevor and Reya. Trevor has always been the erratic daredevil to Reya’s quiet and unassuming character. It was really eye-opening to learn about Trevor’s struggles and as a result him leaving Reya behind.
Trev has spent the last couple of years chasing his TV dreams with his Parkour reality show. You learn that while he has been away he has also been working on himself. Trev has achieved success but he wants love and he wants to be worthy of Reya. He wants to be someone she can count on and therapy his helping him work through this.
Reya was heartbroken when things ended with Trevor. They took a brief step from friendship to lovers and it fizzled out fast due to his career taking off. When Trevor re-enters her life she isn’t ready to allow him back in. Trevor is patient with her and she slowly starts to see how grown up he has become. I understood her caution and her fear. Reya didn’t quite believe in herself and I don’t think she felt deserving of his love. The closer she got to Trevor she realized she didn’t want him to change; she just needed him to be there for her.
This was another great addition to the Hearts series. It was sweet and heartfelt. I loved re-visiting some of our old faves from the Hearts series. The set-up for the next series is pretty exciting and I can’t wait to learn more about these new characters. Well Done!
